EUROMAP 82

OPC UA for peripheral devices
EUROMAP 82 Logo

The connection of production machines and peripherals within the production cell is of central importance for production efficiency and quality. Standardized data exchange offers optimal conditions for this through manufacturer-independent communication. For this reason, the Joint Working Group "Plastics and Rubber Machinery" is developing the EUROMAP 82 specification series for peripheral devices based on the global production language OPC UA.

So far the series consists of 6 parts:

  • EUROMAP 82.1 - Temperature Control Devices (TCD)
  • EUROMAP 82.2 - Hot runner devices (HRD)
  • EUROMAP 82.3 - Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Dosing Systems
  • EUROMAP 82.4 - Dosing Systems (Release Candidate)
  • EUROMAP 82.5 - Moulds (Release Candidate)
  • EUROMAP 82.6 - Granulate Dryer Devices (Work in Progress)

The specifications standardize the communication from peripheral devices to the production machine (e.g. injection moulding machine, extruder) as well as to higher-level control systems (e.g. MES / SCADA). The specifications cover parameters for identification and configuration, automatic login of the machine user to the peripheral devices as well as the monitoring and control of process values.

Interested companies are cordially invited to actively participate in the working group.

  • A new Release Candidate v1.02.0 of EUROMAP 82.3 with some additional optional variables has been published and is open for comments until 1 October 2024.
  • The Release Candidate v1.0.0 of EUROMAP 82.4 has been published on 19 July 2024 and is open for comments until 31 October 2024.
  • The Release Candidate v1.0.0 of EUROMAP 82.5 has been published on 30 July 2024 and is open for comments until 31 October 2024.
